Dr. Anthony P. Scriffignano, DVM Dr. Anthony P. Scriffignano was born in Newark, NJ. He completed his undergraduate studies at St. Peter's College in Jersey City, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1976 From the University of Parma, Italy. In 1979, “Dr. Scriff,” as he is known, began his own practice, converting what was once a real estate office to what is now the Verona Animal Hospital. In 1985, Dr. Scriff purchased the Montclair Animal Hospital, adding a second location to his practice. In his veterinary practice, Dr. Scriff particularly enjoys surgery and animal training and behavior. Outside of work, family is a top priority. He and his wife Liz have been married since 1971 and have three children; Marisa, Marla and Paul. Their family also includes three dogs, Rocco, Tre and Little D and two cats, Bosco and Copper. Other outside interests for Dr. Scriff include Ju Jitsu (he's held a black belt since 1968), motorcycles, cars and high performance driving. |

Dr. Brazer began working at Verona Animal Hospital in 2006, after having completed a one year, small animal and surgery internship program at Oradell Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey. Dr. Brazer is a “double Jumbo” - graduating both undergraduate and veterinary school from Tufts University in Massachusetts. Growing up, Dr. Brazer had the opportunity to live in many different countries throughout the world, but now considers herself a bona fide Jersey Girl. She lives in Wayne, NJ, with her husband Jeff, and two great “kids”: Sheeba (a pitbull mix) and Annie (their new terrier mix puppy). While Dr. Brazer's favorite pastime is walking in the woods by her house with her husband and dogs, she also enjoys traveling, cooking, and summertime barbeques.

Born and raised in West Caldwell, NJ, Dr. Marisa Roberto's lifelong love of animals fueled her pursuit of veterinary medicine. Dr. Roberto graduated Veterinary school from the University of Pennsylvania. Having received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Roberto affirms she is a lifelong Fighting Irish fan. Away from the office, Dr. Roberto enjoys spending time with her family and cooking for and entertaining friends. Another favorite past time includes spending her free time in the summer down by the Jersey shore. Dr. Roberto and her husband Teddy share their home with one cat and a recently rescued puppy. |

Gary Gerber was born and raised in East Hanover, NJ and for as long as he can remember he wanted to be a veterinarian. Gary received a BS from Rutgers University and went on to attend veterinary school at Ross University in the British West Indies. Gary completed his clinical year of training at the University of Florida and graduated with high honors. In addition, he completed an internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Gary thoroughly enjoys both surgery and internal medicine. In his spare time he loves to travel, cook, read, box, and do mixed martial arts. While in the British West Indies Gary rescued a Doberman Pinscher “Atilla” whom now lives with him and his Golden Retriever “Angel.” |
